Pinellas Country Oral Health Coalition Task Groups

General Coalition - Chair, Karen P. Buckenheimer

The mission of the Pinellas County Oral Health Coalition is to give a voice to the oral health community through awareness and education.

Access to Care - Chair, Amy Anderson

Charged with developing action plans for increasing access to care for uninsured/underinsured children and adults, while impacting health through policy changes and improved advocacy for oral health issues.

Prevention - Chair, Open

Charged with developing action plans to improve/increase prevention programs for children in the county that focus on:

• Water fluoridation
• Dental sealant programs
• Fluoride Varnish programs
• Dental screening events

Education and Messaging - Chair, Open

Charged with developing actions plans to support social marketing campaigns/oral health messaging that covers the following areas:

• Oral Health Education
• Update and management of content on Oral Health website(s)
• Creation of resources to support the collaborative goals and action steps

Executive Task Group - Chair, Karen P. Buckenheimer

• The entire Coalition is charged with developing action plans for sustaining the goals of the Oral Health Collaborative through sponsorships and grants.
